Living the dream... A snip-it of life in the Caribbean as a Massage Therapist

I'm standing on the edge of the dock, nervous, excited and waiting. It's mid morning and already blazing hot- September in the Caribbean. A small contender boat docks and the mate lends his hand for me to board. In a few minutes we are just off the coast of St. Thomas and pull up to a 115 ft yacht anchored in the Caribbean Sea. I board, leaving my shoes behind, and walk up the teak steps to the top deck. At this point, I am almost in tears. I am LIVING MY DREAM! I'm scheduled to massage a couple on the yacht that they rented for the week.

Since I was younger I wanted to massage in the Caribbean and have the ocean as my view. Three months after graduation from massage school, my fiancé and I packed up our lives and our pup and moved to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Neither of us had a job or any experience living on our own- we just went for it. At 20 years old we were living our dream and I am so grateful for that opportunity, what we learned and what we gained.
